Francophone Literature Prize 2025
Éric Chacour wins Francophone Literature Prize for his novel ‘Ce que je sais de toi’
On September 18, the Francophone ambassadors with diplomatic representation in Denmark met to select the winner of the ‘Ambassadors of the Francophone Countries in Denmark Literature Prize’ 2025. The choice landed on ‘Ce que je sais de toi’ by Éric Chacour.
With this highly acclaimed debut novel, the Canadian author (of Egyptian parents) follows in the footsteps of his compatriot, Juliana Léveillé-Trudel from Quebec, who won the prize in 2023 for her novel ‘Nirliit’ (published by La Peuplade and Jensen & Dalgaard).
The novel was published last year by Alto in Canada and Philippe Rey in France, and this year Mikael Arnbjerg's Danish translation, 'Det jeg ved om dig', has been published by Holgers Forlag.
The litteratur prize is awarded every two years to a Francophone author who has been translated into Danish.
