Enrollment made on through our website indicates that you agree to the terms and conditions.
A. Payment
- 1. Fees are payable in advance. They are not subject to VAT.
- 2. Payment has to be made at the latest upon the first class.
- 3. If payment has not been made in time, upon the first class, you will receive a reminder and an additional fine of 100 DKK each week.
- 4. Payment is due even if you don’t attend the course you signed up for.
- 5. Course fees cannot be refunded under any circumstances once the first class of the course has taken place.
- 6. Payment of fees in installments is not accepted.
- 7. Course fees do not include textbooks. Please note that textbook fees cannot be refunded under any circumstances.
- 8. Any existing student benefiting from the early enrollment discount must make the payment before 8:30 pm on the deadline date informed in the related offer.
- 9. Tuition fees are refundable only if requested in writing to the administration office (cours@institutfrancais.dk) before the first class of the course.
- 10. No total or partial refund can be granted for classes not attended. Institut Français du Danemark cannot accept any responsibility for unforeseen changes in students’ circumstances (family, employment, health, etc.) that may prevent attendance.
- 11. In case of events for which the Institute cannot be held responsible (health crisis, for example), teaching can go online to ensure continuity. In these exceptional cases independent of the Institute, in which a continuity of the class is ensured, course fees will not be refunded or postponed to another session. Course fees will be refunded in full if a course is cancelled or closed due to an insufficient number of students, or for any other reason beyond our control.

- 13. In case of events for which the Institute cannot be held responsible (health crisis, for example), teaching can go online to ensure continuity. In these exceptional cases independent of the control of the Institute but where a teaching continuity is ensured, course fees will not be refunded or postponed to another session.
- 14. Prices may vary according students/clients status (student, scholarship beneficiary, job seeker, etc). Please refer to our Courses department at cours@institutfrancais.dk for more information.
- 15. Your enrollment is valid once the fees full amount is paid. Cash and card payments are not possible. You can pay via: MobilPay, National payment/Netbanking, International payment (find all payment information here).
B. Classes
- 1. Unless otherwise specified, our classes are limited to 14 students per class.
- 2. Please note that if a course level proves to be inappropriate, transfer to another one is possible only before the third class of the course at the latest, depending on availability.
- 3. The institution is closed for 1 week at Christmas and 2 weeks in July.
- 4. Institut français du Danemark reserves the right to refuse admission.
- 5. Any complaint or commendation can be made in writing to the administration office (cours@institutfrancais.dk).
- 6. Students can benefit from specific contests to win tickets to cultural events organized by the Institut français du Danemark or its partners, from preferential rate for Franske FilmMandage sessions (contact contact@institutfrancais.dk for more information), preferential rates for DELF, DALF and TCF official exams (contact cours@institutfrancais.dk for more information), preferential rates for renewal of classes(contact cours@institutfrancais.dk for more information).
C. Courses - Personal Data & Privacy policy
- The Institut français du Danemark complies with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), applicable as of May 25th, 2018 in all member states of the EU. The Institut français du Danemark will cooperate with the data authorities of the EU regarding data safety in any case required.
- 1. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you agree to provide accurate and complete name, date of birth, phone number, email address, postal address and other personal information requested in the form (field of work, etc) to the Institut français du Danemark (French Institute of Denmark). These information are required for processing registration demands to French classes and for managing French classes.
- 2. These personal data can only be used by the Courses department of the Institut français du Danemark (French Institute of Denmark) for communication purposes on classes: sending a confirmation of registration/payment, getting an appointment, sending information regarding classes, sending information regarding renewal of classes, enabling your professor to communicate with the class, sending information regarding the newsletters (to subscribe or not to them) of the Institut français du Danemark (French Institute of Denmark), to ensure communication on classes/courses in time of crisis.
- 3. Personal data of users will not be used for: sending information not regarding courses and Courses management, sending information about partners of the Institut français du Danemark, spamming, or commercial purposes except classes of the Institut français du Danemark.
- 4. Personal data of students/clients of the Institut français du Danemark are collected and stored via our website https://institutfrancais.dk and via the Management platform HANAF. Data are secured and never transmitted to third parties other than Hanaf or professors involved in the respective class(es) of students.
- 5. Personal data of students/clients can be used for previously-detailed purposes for a year following the end of the last class taken by students (including renewals). After this year, data cannot be used by the Institut français du Danemark, and students/clients should provide accurate and complete personal information if registering again in the future.
- 6. Students/clients must inform the Courses department of the Institut français du Danemark in case of any modification in their personal data that could interfere with a good communication on - and management of - the classes.
D. Newsletters - Personal Data & Privacy policy

- The Institut français du Danemark (French Institute of Denmark) provide two different types of newsletters to its visitors/partners/students/clients:
- a cultural newsletter: dedicated to activities, events, news, offers regarding the Institut français du Danemark, the French Embassy in Denmark and its partners in Denmark, in Nordic countries and in France. Anyone can subscribed to this newsletter via our website https://institutfrancais.dk.
- a student-dedicated newsletter: restricted to students/clients of the Institut français du Danemark. This newsletter contains special offers and news dedicated to students/clients, on activities and classes of the Institut français du Danemark, or partners.
- 1. By subscribing to one of our two newsletters, you agree to provide accurate and complete name and email address to the Institut français du Danemark. These information are required for sending the newsletter(s) you have subscribed to.
- 2. These personal data can only be used by the Institut français du Danemark (French Institute of Denmark) via data processors complying with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) such as Sendinblue (https://www.brevo.com) for sending previously-detailed newsletter(s).
- 3. Personal data of users will not be used by/transmitted to third parties other than data processors used by the Institut français du Danemark.
- 4. Personal data of subscribers of the newsletter(s) of the Institut français du Danemark are collected and stored via our website https://institutfrancais.dk and via the data processors used by the Institut français du Danemark. The Institut français du Danemark will cooperate with the data authorities of Denmark and of the EU regarding data safety in any case.
- 5. Personal data of subscribers of the cultural newsletter can be used for as long as the subscribers don’t unsubscribe - after requiring to unsubscribe and/or after considering the newsletter as spams for a certain amount of time (process automatically detected by data processors).
- 6. Personal data of subscribers of the student-dedicated newsletter are kept and used until the end of the year of their last class at the Institut français du Danemark.
- 7. Students/clients are not automatically subscribing to the student-dedicated newsletter. They need to subscribe to receive the student-dedicated newsletter.
- 8. Subscribers must inform the Institut français du Danemark in case of any modification in their personal data that could interfere with a good reception of one of the newsletter or both newsletters.
