La Femme was formed in 2010 in Biarritz and Paris and has since worked to create their unique sound identity by blending various genres, from '60s rock to electro and new wave. Thanks to their versatile style and wild energy on stage, the group is now enjoying international success, securing a central place in the current music landscape.
Marlon Magnée and Sacha Got met as young people in Biarritz. Soon they were joined by Sam Lefèvre, Noé Delmas, Lucas Nunez Ritter, and Clémence Quélennec, and in 2010 they released their first EP, 'La Femme.' Their debut album, 'Psycho Tropical Berlin,' released in 2013, brought them to the forefront of the French music scene. Like their style, the band has never stopped evolving, drawing on talents such as Ysé Grospiron, Meghan Edwards, Jane Peynot, Pandora Decoster, Clara Luciani, and Fanny Luzignant for their subsequent albums. In 2016, La Femme warmed up for the Red Hot Chili Peppers on their European tour.
La Femme's lyrics are enigmatic and poetic, revealing an imaginative universe driven by a desire never to repeat themselves and to explore different styles and themes. This ambition is also reflected in the diversity of languages they play with: French on most of their albums, Spanish on the album 'Teatro Lúcido,' which is a tribute to Latin American culture, and English on their latest album, 'Rock Machine.'"
