3daysofdesign at the French Embassy- "French Fiber: Spotlight on French textile design"
The French Embassy in Denmark is opening the doors of the Thott Palace richly decorated historic reception rooms in the very heart of Copenhagen for 3daysofdesign, Northern Europe's largest design festival (June 18-20, 2025). Come and discover the best of contemporary French textile design!
“French Fiber” presents a varied selection of remarkable textile design pieces (contemporary tapestries and lace, textile sculptures, furniture) by various emerging and established French designers. Our aim is to showcase the diversity and richness of contemporary French creation in the field of textile art, and to underline the importance of preserving these skills and showing their relevance today.
The designers exhibited are :
- Mona Cara
- Aude Franjou
- Ralph-Samuel Grossmann
- Aurélie Mathigot
- Simone Pheulpin
- Jean-Luc Parant
These works establish a dialogue with the Thott Palace magnificent interior decorations and 17th and 18th century furniture, fitting elegantly into this unique setting.
The exhibition is made possible thanks to the gallery maison parisienne and the National Manufactures, an institution founded in 1604 to preserve traditional French craftsmanship and techniques that are unique in the world.
