Berthe Morisot et les peintres du Siècle des Lumières

Berthe Morisot, a leading figure in Impressionism, was always a painter of modern life, a painter of the women of her time. The writer Paul Valéry said of her: "Berthe Morisot's singularity was to live her painting and paint her life". During her lifetime, her work was often compared to that of 18th-century French painters such as Watteau, Boucher and Fragonard. Philippe Puisais will show you what influence these great masters of the Age of Enlightenment had on Berthe Morisot's art.
