Les salons du mercredi : Femmes au cœur de l’impressionnisme

On September 10, 2025 at 1:00 pm, Philippe Puisais invites you to discover “Women at the heart of Impressionism: Marie Braquemond, Berthe Morisot and Eva Gonzalès”.

These French artists, each with their own unique destiny, contributed to the evolution of painting. Come and discover them through their lives and works. Philippe will illustrate how images of women artists, mainly from the private sphere, shed light on other, equally important aspects of Impressionism and the modernity that gave birth to this movement.

• The lecture is led by Philippe Puisais, a graduate in History and Art History (Sorbonne Paris IV) and French teacher at the Institut Français.
