Scientific mobility programmes 2024

01.09.2023 - 01.12.2023

Call for research projects

As it does every year, the scientific department of the Institut Français du Danemark is opening its two mobility programmes for researchers to applications. Are you a researcher affiliated to a French institution and planning to work with a Danish team? This call is for you!

Priority is given to projects in the fields of 1) computing and quantum 2) climate change and energy, 3) health and biotechnologies, 4) the Arctic and the oceans. However, these areas are not exclusive, and projects covering all the sciences are of course welcome. A component that promotes academic exchanges and/or popularisation for the Danish public is considered an asset.

Blåtand

The Blåtand programme is not intended to support an already established collaboration, but rather to "prospect" and create new contacts. In their application, candidates will present the relevant Danish researchers and research laboratories with whom they plan to meet. The selected researchers will be invited to visit Denmark in 2024. The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs will provide financial support of up to €1,500, which will only cover travel and accommodation costs in Denmark.

IFD Sciences

The IFD Sciences programme is a continuation of the Blåtand programme: it is designed to support and strengthen existing collaboration. Its aim is to promote the development of scientific cooperation between French and Danish universities and research institutes, and to encourage Franco-Danish cooperation. The principle is simple: the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs provides a grant of a maximum of 3,000 euros, which may not make up more than 50% of the total budget, with the other half of the funds being provided by the Danish side.
