On Thursday 29 October 2026, from 14:00 to 19:00, Louisiana Museum of Modern Art will host the COMICS – Past, Present, Future festival, bringing together prominent figures from the worlds of art and comics, including Art Spiegelman, Bjarke Ingels and Liv Strömquist. As part of the festival, three French speakers will take part in the programme: press and caricature artist Coco, comics editor Benoît Mouchart and comics specialist Xavier Guilbert.

Coco is a press and comic artist as well as a screenwriter. She is best known for her work for the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo, which she joined in the early 2000s. Since 2021, she has written a regular column entitled Coco coque l’actu for the daily newspaper Libération.

Benoît Mouchart is publishing director at Casterman (Tintin, Blake and Mortimer, Tardi, Hugo Pratt, etc.). For several years, he served as artistic director of the programme at the Angoulême International Comics Festival. He is also the author of numerous books on comics.

Xavier Guilbert is a comics critic, historian and market analyst. He is co-founder of the comics criticism website Du9.org and has for many years organised exhibitions at the Angoulême International Comics Festival.

COMICS – Past, Present, Future is organised to mark the 25th anniversary of Rakham, an association dedicated to promoting comics in Denmark.
