Spotlight On New French Design
As part of 3daysdesign 2024, the French Embassy in Denmark opens its doors to let you experience the best of the new French design scene in all its diversity throughout the palace's iconic reception rooms.
This unique exhibition's main piece is "Rondin" by French designer Arnaud Lapierre, an elegant bench specially commissioned by the French ministry of culture. It also includes ceramics from the Manufactures de Sèvres, a remarkable tapestry from Manufacture Robert Four and a series of various pieces created by students from some of France's top design schools.
The exhibition is organized by Institut français du Danemark in partnership with Mobilier National, a major French cultural institution dating back to the 17th century whose mission is to conserve the French state's unique furniture and objects collections. Mobilier National also plays a major role in supporting and promoting young French creators and contemporary design abroad. It is also made possible thanks to a collaboration with Manufacture nationale de Sèvres, Campus Mode Métiers d'art & Design and Manufacture Robert Four, and with the kind support of Institut français in Paris and Paule Mikkelsens Mindelegat.
